Q - Do the products need any additional surface treatment?
A - No. But please understand that most wood will slowly and naturally discolour to a shade of grey and may go blotchy.

Q- How do I keep the product looking like new?
A - If you want to preserve the pristine colours and condition of the new product, you should use a suitable wax or varnish before it is put to use.

Q - What surface treatments are suitable/recommended?
A - Any thing that you like including waxing, staining, varnishing, lacquoring and painting. Please choose a treatment suitable to the environment the product will be placed into, and remember to re-apply as needed. Water based products are both quicker to dry and more environmentally friendly.

Q - Is preservative treatment necessary if I intend painting the wheel?
A - Not at all, as the paint will exclude moisture and protect the wood. But you can easily paint over the preservative treatment once it is fully dry, and will effectively give a double protection to the wheel.
